"Good works do not make a good man, but a good man does good works." -Martin Luther

What can I do to help?

Give as much of your time, experience and energy as you have to give. This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the H.O.P.E. Farm Boys. Developing the men of tomorrow to make a difference in the community, the state, and the nation, can only be achieved through people like you. The young at-risk boys growing up in Fort Worth have a need to hear about what opportunities that the world has to offer them and how to find and seize those opportunities.

Whether you can meet on a continual or one-time basis we have a need that you can fill. Join H.O.P.E. Farm for the kinds of activities you already like to do, such as:

Public Speaking

These boys need to be exposed to as many different career paths and educational possibilities as possible. Come speak with these boys about your special skill or educational background!

In addition, we need speakers who will speak during our Parent Involvement Program (P.I.P.). This time is used to assist the parents of H.O.P.E. Farm boys with spiritual, inspirational encouragement and provides structural tools to help them partner with H.O.P.E Farm.  The partnership promotes H.O.P.E Farm’s philosophy, goals and objectives and maximum impact in the lives of the boys.

Come and speak one time or on numerous occasions. A few examples of topics include:

  • Health and nutrition forums
  • Finance and money management
  • Family care

Education your strength?

We can always use tutors to assist the Academic Coordinator in Math and Reading.  In addition, let us know if you have a skill in Art or Non-traditional lessons (such as foreign languages, performing arts).

College and the Workforce

As our older boys look to the end of high school they have a special need for college and job preparation.  They are in need of assistance in various subjects, from SAT training to how to apply to college. This includes how to interview, fill out college and job applications and the necessary scholarship and financial aid paperwork.
